Water Safety Class
Location: Canton YMCA
Time: 4pm - 8pm (4 training hours)
This course is required if you have a pool, pond, or live on the lake. If you go boating frequently, this would be a good course to attend. This class counts toward your 10 hours of supplemental foster parent training. The cost for this training is reimbursed with an original receipt. You have to pay for the class in advance in order for the class to "make". If there aren't enough participants, the course will be canceled. DFCS Furlough
DHS will completely close its operations on designated furlough days. Because
DHS operations will be closed on furlough days many constituents will be unable
to physically walk in to an office for services.
However, our online applications for services such as Food Stamps through
COMPASS will still be available.
* During closures, employees will still be available to respond to any
complaints of child and elder abuse or neglect. To report child abuse and
neglect, reports should be made to our "on-call" process which will be in place
as it would routinely be for after hours, nights or weekends.To reach our
on-call staff member, please contact Non-Emergency
911 at 678-493-4080.
* For adults, reports should be made to the Adult Protective Services
(APS) Central Intake Unit by calling toll-free at (888) 774-0152 or if within
then metro Atlanta calling area at (404) 657-5250. |

B98.5, Publix and CRPA present "B at the Movies"
Location: Hobgood Park
Time: 7pm
We will be hosting an outdoor
movie, The Tooth Fairy, on Saturday, September 18th at Hobgood Park. Gates open
at 7pm. The movie will begin just after dusk. Feel free to bring your blanket,
chairs and picnic!

Give Me A Break
Location: Woodstock Recreation Center
Time: 10:30am - 3:30pm
Bring the children ages 1 and up for a few hours while you and your spouse have some time to yourselves. The children will be able to play and do fun activities. RSVP to Marie with your child's age and first name. |

Foster & Adoptive Family Event
Theme: Costume Party
Location: Hot Wheels Skating Rink, 228 Farm Ridge Dr. NE, Woodstock,
GA 30188
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Everyone is welcome to come and skate or just watch the kids and hang out
with other adults. We will be giving a prize to the adult with the best costume
and a prize to the child with the best costume. Come out and have fun! This is a
private party. We will have more information coming soon! |
